How To Bleach

Bleach Pack is an easy, hassle-free way to pre-lighten your hair and will help you achieve the perfect blonde base for Paradyes hues to show up vibrantly. This short manual will be your guide throughout the process. All you need to do is follow the steps and brace yourself for your new, ultra-fresh look! 

Make sure you read the cautions and instructions carefully before use.  

Directions for Strand Test

  • Apply the mixed product onto a single strand of your dry hair and let it rest for about 20 minutes. 

  • Take a wet cotton swab and remove the mixture slightly to check the hair level. Wash off if desired hair level has been reached. If not, coat the exposed section with the product again and let it rest for some more time. 

  • Repeat step 2 every 10 minutes until your desired hair level has been achieved. This will help you determine how long you need to keep the product on in order to achieve your desired hair level.

  • Make sure you don’t keep the product on for too long to avoid over-processing your hair.

  • Once your desired hair level has been reached, wash off the bleach thoroughly with shampoo.

  • Only proceed to bleach a larger section of your hair if the strand test causes no irritation or damage.

Precautions

  • Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.

  • This product is only meant for people who are 16 years or older. Keep out of reach of children.

  • Keep the product away from clothes and furnishing.

  • Always use the gloves provided in the kit while handling this product.

  • Once opened, mix the product in a well-ventilated area, and do not use metal bowls and  spatulas to mix. Discard the extra mixture post use.

  • Avoid contact with eyes and skin. In case of accidental contact, rinse immediately with water.

  • Don’t use on eyebrows, eyelashes, or facial hair. Doing so may cause blindness.

  • Do not inhale or ingest the product. Do not use it if you have a sensitive, damaged, or irritated scalp or if you have experienced allergic reactions to hair colors/dyes/bleach in the past.

  • The ingredients in this product may irritate your skin/hair in certain rare cases. Always do a strand test before use.

  • Proceed to bleach larger sections of your hair only if there is no irritation. In case of an allergic reaction during the strand test, refrain from bleaching and seek medical help if the discomfort persists.

Please Note

When bleaching black or dark brown hair, it is entirely normal to get an orangish/brassy tint on your hair after bleach. Warm tones mix well enough with orangish stains, whereas cool tones like blue or violet often neutralize these orange tones and require toning after the bleaching process. Please use Paradyes toning shampoo after bleach for optimum results.

Directions For Use

  • Prepping for bleach: Wash and dry your hair thoroughly. Choose a well-ventilated area to bleach. Keep a mirror, towel, water, aluminum foil, and some cotton balls handy. Apply oil or petroleum jelly around your hairline, face, and neck to avoid the product from getting onto your skin. Get a helping hand from a loved one if you need it. Ensure you or anyone who is handling the product wears the protective gloves provided in this kit throughout the process.

  • Mixing your bleach: The bleach can be mixed in any bowl except a metal bowl. Only open the pouches just before mixing. Mix the Blonder powder and Crème Developer in a 1:2 ratio, meaning 1 part of Blonder for every 2 parts of the Developer. For this specific pack, both pouches can be used entirely and mixed. Mix well, ensuring that the mixture is smooth and has no lumps.

  • Application: Once your strand test comes out safe, proceed to apply the product evenly onto the hair sections of your choice. Mid-lengths and ends in first step and root area as second step. Cover these sections with foil after using the product and let it rest for the required amount of time, as determined by the strand test. Discard the excess mixture and do not store it for later use.

  • Rinse: Once your desired hair level is achieved, rinse off thoroughly and dry your hair. You are now ready to proceed with the color application.
